More Diversity in My Posts

I realized I have posted many poems by men, women and African Americans. I have posted poems from across centuries. But I have not posted many, if any,  of the Hispanic, Asian, or Native American poets’ works. There are other ethnic groups who also have given and continue to give us great inspiration in their writings and art. Realizing I have not been diverse enough in my posts I would like to correct the oversight by starting with a poem by Alfonsina Stomi.

Lighthouse In The Night
by Alfonsina Stomi

The sky a black sphere,div
the sea a black disk.

The lighthouse opens
its solar fan on the coast.

Spinning endlessly at night,
whom is it searching for

when the mortal heart
looks for me in the chest?

Look at the black rock
where it is nailed down.

A crow digs endlessly
but no longer bleeds.
